Today we released a new feature that allows board owners to enable In-Text ads on their forum and receive service credits for doing so. We understand that while enabling ads is a big plus for you, some users may think otherwise. Because of this, we’ve prepared some points you can relay to your members:
- These ads will benefit them by allowing you (the admin) to purchase additional features to improve the forum.
- They’re not intrusive like popup ads or flashing banner ads.
- They can disable them if they want by clicking the question mark in the ad box. However, doing so will hurt your forum so this isn’t recommended.
- They’re relevant to the information on the post and can actually be informative.

Why not let us put our own ads on our forum.. like adwords.. and let us keep the profit from the clicks, after all its our traffic and we had to advertise our forum to get traffic here, so I think its fair to let us make back our money from expenses we incurred advertising.

Boxster72 – Because running an operation like FreeForums.org doesn’t come without HUGE costs on our end which we need to pay for somehow. If you want to place 100% of your own ads you can do so on our advanced hosting for $5.34/month.

As Boxster72 said, you shold give us parmission to publish our own google account’s ads. If you do this, it will be a very good change for us.
Your advanced hosting charges are not good.

This is a great Forums site, it is an awesome way of setting things up, because, all the other so called “Free Forums” keep everything for themselves, i like the way that freeforums.org has a way you can get credits to increase the hosting services etc. GO FREEFORUMS !

FreeForums.org is a great working tool, but I can’t find the AdSense control panel for my forum. Where can I found it?
