At FreeForums.org, our responsibility goes beyond providing you with the very best in forum hosting. Making sure your forum is as active as possible is also in our job description. These are a few things we have done to help you build members:
1) New Register page – After extensive market research we found the default registration page to be a daunting sight to those unfamiliar with the forum signup process. In order to help speed up the registration process we removed some of the unneeded options and Profile Configuration settings. While this was actually done last month most forum owners have no reason to visit the register page and may not have even noticed!
2) Forum Toolbar - Your forum toolbar is perhaps one of the best ways to increase activity on your forum. When your members install the toolbar, they are constantly reminded of your forum when browsing the web. To install this toolbar go to yourforum.freeforums.org/toolbar.php (replace ‘yourforum’ with your domain name). You can configure it with other features via the “Toolbar” link in your admin panel.
3) Freedom – The numerous features we offer give you the freedom to create a forum just how you want it.
4) Brandable forum – FreeForums.org was the first forum host to popularize the non-branded forum by giving you the option to use an external domain (yourdomain.com) and remove the “Host by FreeForums.org” at the bottom. This lets you brand your own forum and lose the “free hosting” label.
5) Coming soon - Over the coming weeks we will be rolling out some new features and services that we’ve been working on since September. These services will provide more value to your members ensuring they spend more time on your forum!

I wonder how to get more members to my forum Pet Shop Boys Lovers. I have joined some forums to advertise it and such things, but nearly nobody seems to be interested. I have got 34 members and of course that is very good, but I want my forum to grow much faster and get more members. All the adverising forums I have visited have been good in some ways, but no one of them has been a music forum in which you can advertise your forum if you had created a forum about an artist a group as I have done. They just say it’s kinda bad idea creating a forum about a music group and I must say I feel very alone there. There is nobody else who has created a music forum about a special group or artist. The most forums people are advertising there is computer forums and general chat forums. One of the admin on this site didn’t really know about the Pet Shop Boys and who they were. Please help me! What am I to do?

“5) Coming Soon”
Stop being so mean. Stop hinting! You’re evil. So, so evil!!!

It had better be phpBB3. Or the cash mod. Or you giving free advanced hosting to blockboost.freeforums.org. Or maybe to sort out the free upgrades, so you don’t have to do the third suggestion!
Congratulations on your first year, by the way…

Change in the format of registration page certainly makes it better. Profile page should also change accordingly, however. Registrant’s country/location must be reflected in his/her profile (which is visible to other members). Please ensure it that way at least for my website namely; meacommunity.freeforums.org .
Thanks in advance.

I am still not able to know the location of the new members in their profile though they have to tell about it i.e. the country while registering.

Can some one kindly let me know why my repeated requests for reflection of members’ country/location in their respective profiles are getting no response at all? Is the request quite unreasonable or demanding too much. Or is it difficult to acede to such request? I expect some response.
